History
A Volkwagen Beetle is what everything started with!
The entire Porsche Bank History starts in 1966, when Porsche Holding scores the success of concluding the very first leasing agreement for a Volkwagen Beetle, thus setting the grounds of a new financing system in Austria.
- August 1999 - Porsche Leasing Romania , the first company belonging to Porsche Finance Group Romania, inaugurates its office in Bucharest
- November 2000 - Porsche Leasing Romania launches the financial leasing product
- January 2003 - Porsche Finance Group launches the second member company of the group, Porsche Insurance Broker. It begins its activity as a car insurance broker for the specific leasing agreements concluded
- October 2004 - Porsche Bank Romania is launched, the first Romanian bank specialized in car loans
- July 2006 - Porsche Mobility is launched, aimed at ensuring fleet management, operational leasing and rent-a-car services
- December 2006 - Porsche Leasing Romania takes the top spot in the Romanian leasing companies leaderboard, with a total amount of financing deals of 124 million euros (7.400 financed vehicles)
- June 2008 - Porsche Bank Romania announces a 150% increase of the financing volumes, in comparison with June 2007, following the commencement of the national car park renewal program REMAT
- June 2008 - Porsche Bank Romania announces the simplification of necessary procedures and documentation for the request of loans
- October 2008 – Porsche Insurances is launched, the youngest member of Porsche Finance Group, completing the "One-Stop-Shop" integrated services concept.
